The “Maina Town” magazine approached us regarding the wrapping of a fire truck with advertisements, which then became the main attraction of the first Maina Town Weekend. The specialized vehicle was parked on the former Italian Street in the Center and later turned into a portable stage. It was namely the truck that provided the sound system for the Beer Therapy Zone. Fully transformed with impressive “tattoos” made of vinyl film and graffiti, the fire truck attracted the attention of all passers-by.
The grand event represents an evolution of the culture, stories and heroes of Plovdiv that the magazine covers. The themes of the Maina Town Weekend were brought “to life” in five different locations over three consecutive days, from September 15th to 17th. Several initiatives took place in each of the focus areas: Art & Cars, Sport, Eco, Tech, Beer. An idea of the organizers was to bring together regular city folk and innovators, organic and green activists, artists, athletes, urban and modern culture representatives, musicians and other faces of the city. The event is part of the Plovdiv 2019 European Capital of Culture calendar.

Media Design’s Special Unit Conquered the “Flame Dance” of the Fire Station
As established car wrapping experts, our technicians transformed the fire truck beyond recognition. In a limited amount of time, they created a brand new modern and artistic look out of the shabby front end of the scrapped vehicle. They were aided by 3M‘s showpiece in the category “Printed graphics for cars”. This is the 3M IJ280 self-adhesive cast film, distinguished by its high print quality and innovative adhesive technology which enables quick and easy installation. By using the 3M IJ280 film in combination with the latest generation printer, we delivered stunningly saturated colors to the advertisements for Maina Town and Hills Beer. Hard not to stop and admire it!
